Support Lincoln Avenue!

On the morning of June 30, 2026, our Lincoln Avenue School community experienced an unexpected tragedy when a fire caused significant damage to the school building. Thankfully, no one was in the building at the time, and no injuries were reported. We are deeply grateful to the Milwaukee Fire Department for their swift response and to the many community members, families, and partners who have already reached out with messages of care and support.

While the building has been impacted, the spirit of the Lincoln Avenue community remains strong. Principal Damaris Ayala and the dedicated staff are working throughout the summer to prepare for the start of the new school year and will continue to keep families informed as plans move forward.

Many of you have asked how you can help right now.

To ensure your generosity goes exactly where it is needed most, here are the official ways you can help:

💰 Monetary Donations: You can make a direct, tax-deductible contribution using the button below. The funds will be first used to support the school’s classroom and teacher needs, followed other areas of greatest need as determined by school leaders as we work to support the school now and in the future.

✏️ School Supplies & Item Drives: We are welcoming school and teacher supplies for Lincoln Ave students and staff. You can drop off items at MPS Central Services (5225 W. Vliet St., Room 142) Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. For questions or more information, please feel free to contact Christy Stone, Director of Strategic Partnerships and Customer Service at: stoneca@milwaukeepublicschools.org

Please consider making a donation to the Lincoln Avenue Elementary School Fund today. Together, we can help Lincoln Avenue emerge stronger than ever.

Thank you for standing with the Lincoln Avenue community.
